Laboratory No. 4 +

  • L4 + .1 Name

  • Intel Galileo - car on-board computer

  • L4 + .2 Overview, purpose

  • The work of the lab aims to explore the ways in which automobile data display systems can be realized and the possibilities of expanding the Intel Galileo platform for such functions. At the end of the lab, details will be provided on how to make data pointers, interfacing and programming techniques using the Intel Arduino Galileo universe.

  • L4 + .3 Resources

  • Hardware: Intel Galileo Development System, Expansion Computer, Intel Arduino

  • L4 + .4 Prototype Program

  • Motion control indicator indicator

  • L4 + .5 Laboratory deployment / tracking

    • - Analyze the operating specifications of the step-by-step micromotors for driving those vehicle edge indicators.

      - Analyze the Intel Galileo platform schema and identify the signals from the extension connectors -

      Analyze the mpp connection scheme for Galileo

      - Compile the prototype program and transfer the executable code to the Intel Galileo platform
      - Track the code execution

    • L4 + .6 Proposed Problems
      • 1. Make a program sequence to initialize the display system;
      • 2. Make a program that displays the applied voltage value at input A0;
      • 3. Make a display for analogue information from channel 0;
      • 4. Create a program that will implement the signal diagram for the two coils according to the specifications in the step-by-step engine documentation;
      • 5. Make a program that will allow you to highlight the maximum rotation speed of the indicator needle.

    • L4 + .7 The experiment can be extended to:

    • - Achieving intuitive display systems;
      - Manufacture of on-board computers for vehicles;
      - Achieving smart instrumentation;
      - Achieving low energy consumption positioning systems;
